YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat

YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat

A few weeks ago the lovely people from House of Fraser were kind enough to send me a fabulous package filled with a ton of beauty and fragrance samples for me to try – eye cream, moisturizer, foundation…you name it. While I haven’t actually managed to test all of them yet, I couldn’t wait to give the YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat Foundation a whirl. I’m in the market for a new lightweight foundation for summer anyway, so the YSL samples couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

The foundation is available in 22 shades that are split into three different colour groups: rose, beige and gold. It promises to brighten the complexion, create dimensional radiance and provide weightless coverage to smooth out any imperfections. I was sent the shade BR 30, and after using it for a few times in the past two weeks, I’m happy to tell you that I found a worthy successor for my almost empty Diorskin Nude BB Cream.

While the colour match is not ideal – BR 30 has rosy undertones that aren’t exactly compatible with my olive toned skin – the formula blends in so nicely that the colour mismatch wasn’t much of an issue. Even though the formula is very runny (I accidently squirted it all over my bed…oops), a tiny bit really goes a long way when applied with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush or the extremely soft, yet firm Estée Lauder Foundation Brush that was also sent to me by House of Fraser. I made the mistake of using way too much at first and had to dap off the excess with a cotton wool pad to prevent some serious damage. Don’t let the consistency fool you, though. The foundation evens out the skin beautifully without masking it, i.e. you’ll get light to medium coverage, and it gives your complexion a real radiance boost without looking greasy at all (and I tend to have quite an oily T-Zone).

The YSL Le Teint Touché foundation has officially taken the crown for my favourite foundation. It feels lighter than light on the skin, evens out the skin tone perfectly, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all, and gives your complexion the most natural and beautiful glow. Hold on to your purses ladies, this foundation is a true winner!

I want to take this opportunity to remind you that House of Fraser are running an amazing beauty competition until 30th June. All you have to do is fill in your details here for the chance to win £2000 worth of the best beauty products the industry has to offer. How amazing is that? Who doesn’t want to win £2000 worth of beauty products!? Good Luck everyone :)
