Undone Undone How do you guys and girls motivate yourself on a shitty day? It’s raining, you’re not feeling well, you’ve just gotten some really bad news and all you want to do is hide underneath your duvet all day. We all have those days, but I’m sure we all handle them slightly differently.

Undone Undone Some of us may use those days to be productive and finish off neglected chores or the dreaded assignment for university. Why? Because once we feel better we have all the time in the world to have fun and meet friends.

Undone - What Defines UsUndone - What Defines UsIt’s good reasoning, but it doesn’t work for me. When I’m not feeling so good my head becomes all cloudy and slow, and I find it incredibly difficult to concentrate on something other than staring out of the window.

Undone Undone On good days, on the other hand, my brain works super fast and I get things done in no time. So what do I do on a bad day then? That’s when I have fun and surround myself with people that cheer me up.

Undone Undone It can be super tempting to just shut everyone out and wallow in self-pity (believe me, I’ve been there too many times), but that usually doesn’t solve anything; it just prolongs the healing process – unless, of course, you drown yourself in work and distract yourself like that.

    Also, die Antwort auf deine Fragen ist recht schwierig für mich, da es drauf ankommt, welches der Hauptgrund ist……. Aber generell: zuerst heule ich und mache mir selbst Vorwürfe, dann bekomme ich ziemlichen Zorn auf den Grund oder die Person, dann esse ich Schoko………und dann sage ich mir dass es ja garnicht so arg ist…….

    I think the trick is to accept that you sometimes have these days. And the only thing you can do is to let it all happen. For me, I won’t put up make up, I won’t dress up, I won’t text back friends. I won’t even trouble being nice to K! But I allow myself only one day in the month to do that. And after you’ve suffered your lowest point, you can only go up.

    Yah, I do have days like those too. What I usually do is watch movies, particularly those from Hollywood Golden Era or highly praised indie films. Or some Korean Tv series 😀 anyway, the photos are amazing and I like how you layered!

    Aah now I want to give you a big fat hug!! It’s something in the air I think, because I can totally relate! Surround yourself with the right people is a great solution. Also I try to remind myself of all the blessings, all the great positive things in my life and this shitty time is just a phase.

    Try not to think about the obligations and stress, just pamper yourself with whatever you feel like doing (or not doing) because sometimes we need these kind of days to recharge.

    That said, I hope you are feeling better already by this time. You are one of the most positive people I know, so I know you will be back on track soon!!

    I hope you are feeling better already. I am much like you, I can’t concentrate when I am feeling upset. I usually end up watching tv in the background to distract me. But I think surrounding yourself with people who cheer you up is much better 🙂 These are lovely photos, so charming! xx

    I deal with bad days in different ways. This morning it was with a bit of solitary hiking plus taking photos, which is always my spa for the soul. Often when I feel bad, I start to clean the house…my mind doesn't work well than, so I avoid doing any kind of studying or intellectual work of any kind. Sometimes music helps, sometimes silence…sometimes planning, sometimes taking time for myself.

    I too, never put make up on my face when I'm feeling down….

    These pictures are gorgeous! Yesterday I had quite a shitty day. It was raining outside and I was studying all day long. I know that working out helps for me, but I just couldn’t pull myself together. I went to bed, put the alarm for today and I’m just back from a 30 minute run. Right now I’m happy again and it feels like I can conquer the world!

    In these terrible days I try to force myself and think positive. If I can’t, I compel myself to do jogging for an hour in the park, it’s a great medicine for me. If I can add your favourite music, it works well :)))
