The Denim Jacket Continued

What_Defines_Us_The_Denim_Jacket 2The denim jacket: an absolute staple piece for SS ’14. Combine it with flared mini skirts, floral trousers, and light summer dresses for a girly look perfect for the warmer months, or edge it up a little with jeans, trainers and brogues to make it winter-friendly.

Outfit 1 – Let’s address the elephant in the outfit – the gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff Mini ‘Morning After Clutch’. Yet another bag I’ve been eyeing for a good while now. It’s very reasonably priced for a designer bag, yet more expensive than any other bag I’ve ever bought for myself. It’s a pickle really. The devil on my left shoulder says: “Come on Jasmin, you’ve been so good at saving lately, you can certainly afford to splurge a little now and then. Don’t be stingy…go and buy the damn bag!”, but then the little angel on my right shoulder answers: “Don’t listen to the little devil, Jasmin! It’s a gorgeous bag, I must admit, but you don’t need it. You better save as much as you can for rainy days.” Now who do I listen too? A first world problem at its best…

Outfit 2 – My personal favourite? The brogues…the beautiful monochrome brogues as seen on The Man Repeller. They’re feeding my current obsession with androgynous fashion pieces, but are a little bank breaking. I guess all there is left to do is hope for a little money fairy coming my way tonight and depositing £475 under my pillow, so I can run off to Selfridges tomorrow and make myself a very happy bunny…or maybe I should start playing the cost per wear game…it’s dangerous, I tell you!
