As I’ve finally started wearing nail polish again after keeping my nails completely bare for a few months, last week I decided to refer back to an old favourite of mine and let Lancôme’s Vernis In Love nail polish in ‘Rose Boudoir 375B’ grace my nails. I bought it on a whim last summer, and I couldn’t be happier about it…
Colour: Rose Boudoir is a very intense, glossy purple-y hot pink that is perfect for every occasion.
Brush: The brush is as perfect as it can get. It is grooved so that the polish can easily flow down to the center, and due to the flat wide shape and round base one stroke is enough to cover the whole nail.
Consistency: Not too thin and not too thick, just right.
Application: The perfect brush and a dreamy formula come together to ensure an easy application that takes less than 30 seconds per hand…I kid you not!
Pigmentation: Opaque in one thin coat…need I say more!?
Longevity: No chips and only minor wear for five days, after which I removed it to let my nails breathe.
Overall impression: J’adore…how could I not wear it for almost a year? Rose Boudoir will most certainly become one of my go-to nail polishes this summer. It’s such a mesmerizing, versatile colour that really complements my olive skin tone. It will look lovely paired with a berry lip (an absolute favourite of mine), and give any muted outfit the perfect pop of colour.
