My New Year’s resolutions? Live simply, dream big, be grateful, give love and laugh lots. It appears I’m one of those rare few bloggers, who are pretty awful at making tangible New Year’s resolutions. And that’s why I’m not gonna bore you with a long list of things I want to achieve this year (not that I’d have one anyway), but instead amuse you with a sartorial recap of 2014 (click on the picture to see the full blog post) and a few reflective words.
With every passing year we get more mature. We will have experienced success, but also failure. And we learn; about life, about people and about ourselves. That’s why I want to live in the here and now. With you, and everyone else dear to me. I can’t just scribble down all of my resolutions for the New Year already. Where would be the fun in that? Hopes and dreams aren’t static…they are just as fluid as life in general; so let them change with you and your life.
I wish for a balanced mind and a big fat smile on my face. And if that doesn’t work out every day, I’ll manage too. Wouldn’t it be super boring if everything was always perfect? How would we be able to appreciate the great moments in life, if we never experienced the not so great ones? My attitude to life will be positive, just like my attitude towards new situations and opportunities.
This is what I want for myself, and this is what I wish you guys. Keep and implement all of the wonderful ideas and positive thoughts you have, and learn from bad experience. Don’t let the negatives startle you. They are mere obstacles that can be overcome and used to find the right path. Most moments in life, whether good or bad, will enrich and define your life. Who knows what will happen tomorrow? The trick is to adapt! And that’s what I’m gonna do.
Happy New Year everyone!
