Welcome to the second part of my Fashionchick redesign party report. While the first part was all about the reasons for my attendance at the party, some background info and the talented bloggers I met, part two focuses more on the fashion lines presented by the incredible sponsors of the event and the food provided by The Fable.
First Stop was the River Island stand, where my eyes immediately fell upon the most gorgeous platforms I’ve ever seen. I literally can’t stop thinking about the ones in baby pink. Aren’t they so cute? I might break my legs walking in them, but if I do, at least I’ll do it in style. Lucky for me, part of my FashionchickVIP prize was a £50 RI gift card, so as soon as they hit the shelves you know what I’ll be spending it on. And the sunglasses…I love the 60’/70’s vibe that is going on there. If you need to fill the round and cat eye shaped wholes in your sunglasses collection, you should definitely check out River Island…you won’t regret it.
Next up was House of Fraser with some incredible purses and wallets in a range of show-stopping colours – perfect to introduce just the hint of colour to a monochrome outfit.
The boohoo stand, on the other hand, was a dream in candy colours, with yummy sweets and the prettiest heeled sandals adorning its table. Boohoo is a brand I’m not very familiar with, but the incredible presentation of their pieces at the Fashionchick party definitely wet my appetite for more.
Last but not least I ventured over to Reiss, the brand that reflects my personal style and taste the most. While the current collection is inspired by the bohemian lifestyle of the 50’s and 60’s featuring clean lines, strong shapes and a graphic colour palette, I’m particularly excited for the coming AW14 collection. Reiss will become much more edgy with vintage-inspired pieces and very sharp, clean and modern shapes…think pantsuit with a lingerie-inspired camisole…love it!
All in all it was a fantastic experience! I enjoyed perusing all the fashion lines and talking to the professionals behind the brands so much. All the girls were incredibly lovely and interesting.
And the cherry on top? We were left neither hungry nor thirsty. There was not only an open bar, but we were also treated to the most delicious and beautifully presented canapés from The Fable. There were mini beef burgers, chicken satay skewers, tomato and basil bruschetta, mini fish and chips, brownies and my absolute favourite – warm mini sugar doghnuts. The rest of the menu looks just as delicious, and I’m definitely planning another trip to The Fable soon to sample a few more of the dishes.
In conclusion, the Fashionchick party was a great success – the girls behind the brand did a fantastic job at putting together a fabulous evening for everyone involved. I really had the best time and I’m looking forward to many more blogger events in the future.
Fancy finding out what I wore to the event? Then stay tuned for tomorrow’s article with all the deets on my outfit.
Thank you so much for reading, and I’ll “see” you all tomorrow! xx
