Oh boy! It’s been a while since I talked about beauty let alone beauty favourites. Rewind a few months and I was totally obsessed with trying out new products, so there was always something new to show you. Since autumn last year, however, I’ve actually been rather happy with my skincare and makeup routines, and haven’t felt the need to mix things up.
One brand has managed to crawl its way into my beauty cabinet despite all odds. And that is New Zealand-based brand Antipodes. Most Antipodes products are certified organic, some are “only” 98-100% natural, but all products are Vegetarian Approved (honey is the only animal by-product used), cruelty- and GMO-free. Antipodes do not sell their products in countries that require animal-testing by law, and is not connected to any other companies that may be testing on animals – a true winner in my books! And now on to the actual products I’m loving at the moment…
Juliet Skin-Brightening Gel Cleanser – this is literally the most economical cleanser I’ve ever come across. A pea-sized drop is enough to produce a rich lather (don’t worry – it doesn’t have any sulphates in it) that covers the whole face and neck.
Resurrect Clarifying Facial Toner – the perfect skincare prep for your skin. It is so refreshing and smells beautifully of chamomile, lavender and sage.
Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream – eye cream is a sore topic. I have incredibly sensitive eyes that react really badly to most eye creams (I’m talking congested tear glands and properly infected, painful eyes). This is the only eye cream I’ve tested so far that hasn’t caused any kind of reaction. And I’ve been using it for many months now. Oh and have I mentioned that a little bit goes a really long way?
Divine Face Oil Organic Avocado Oil & Rosehip – this is such a treat during the cold winter months. I’ve been a firm advocate of Rosehip oil for a long while now, and I’m loving the combination with Avocado oil.
What skincare brand can’t you get enough of at the moment?
